Taewook (Tommy) Kim defended his M.Phil. thesis in July, 2020 from HKUST, advised by Dr. Xiaojuan Ma. He earned his B.S. from Hanyang University in February 2018.
His research in Human-Computer Interaction focuses on Social Computing, Communication, and Conversational Behavior. He pursues system-building research. He is interested in designing intelligent systems that facilitate users representing their minds. He builds interactive systems encouraging people more expressive and translucent for their own emotions in Human-Human Communication, to abate stress and stay positive in their everyday lives.
I am a prospective Ph.D. applicant.
